Welcome to our Worship page at Central London Church!

Worship is a human response to God for his saving grace and love. What can we give God in return for giving us the meaning of life, forgiveness of our sins and hope for the future? All we can offer is our worship.

Admittedly, we cannot know God unless he reveals himself to us. So God initiates worship by revealing himself to us. Then we respond, and the proper response is worship. The more we grasp his greatness, his power, his love, his character, the more we understand his worth, the better we can worship.

We can worship God all by ourselves but it is also something we do together. God has revealed himself not just to ‘me’ as an individual, but also to ‘us’ as a community of believers. And the community together responds to him in worship, in declaring that he is worthy of all honour and praise.

At Central London Church our goal is to create weekly worship that is meaningful, spiritual and joyful. We worship in a variety of ways, such as music, prayer, scripture reading, sharing, personal commitments, etc. In music we use different instruments and songs – from contemporary to good old hymns – but all are sung with joy, spirit and meaning. Our style of worship is celebratory, reflective and uplifting.

But we believe worship is not just what we do in church. We believe it involves our entire relationship with God, all our heart, mind, soul, and strength – it involves all the ways in which we can respond to God, all the ways we can praise him by what we say and do, all the ways we can demonstrate that God is worthy of our praise and honour and glory.
